ORDERING

You can place an order online by using the online store order system. When ordering from the online store, all personal information must be correct in order to assure proper delivery of the order. To create an order, transfer the desired product or products to the shopping cart, go to the shopping cart page, accept these Terms and Conditions, fill in the contact information requested on the form, select the order delivery and payment method, and accept the order.

If for some reason it is not possible to place an order from the online store, you can also contact us by email or telephone during customer service hours.

To place an order you will need a valid email address. We will provide you with: an order confirmation, additional payment details, an order delivery confirmation, and a shipment tracking number via email.

After placing your order, the online store will automatically send a binding order confirmation to the email address you provided. If you notice any incorrect information, please contact us by email immediately by replying to the order confirmation email.  Please remember to keep the email thread when replying.

Treeline Outdoors reserves the right to change prices and terms and conditions on a case-by-case basis.

Should the customer choose to create an account, the customer is responsible for their own account and password.

All trading follows the trading instructions issued by the Consumer Agency to Online Retailers.

The minimum order value is 10 euros.

Prices

 

The price of a product is the one that shows in the online store at the moment of purchasing. The fees are shown in the shopping cart. Heavy or large deliveries can have extra fees. Any extra fees are shown during checkout either next to or included in the selected delivery method price. 

 

In the case of obvious pricing errors, Treeline Outdoors reserves the right to cancel the order. Examples of obvious pricing errors include:

- A price listed as 0,00 € or no listed price at all

- If the price of the sleeping bag worth multiple hundreds of euros is listed for 29,90 € (i.e. - mistakes in decimal places)

- In other cases where the incorrect price shown differs so much from the actual price that the customer could suspect a pricing error.

 

 

DELIVERY TIME

As a rule, we dispatch in-stock products on the same or next working day that we receive the order payment. If the order includes both in-stock products and out-of-stock products with a short delivery time (1-3 days), the order will then be delivered as soon as all the products are in stock. Please note, we only allow orders of in-stock items for all orders being delivered outside of Finland.

Delivery time for special order products varies from product to product. You can find more information about the delivery times either in the product information or by contacting our customer service. For orders that will be delivered outside of Finland, we do not offer special order services. Special order products will be dispatched as soon as we receive the ordered product in stock. Special order products ordered online will not be ordered from suppliers until the order payment has been received by Treeline Outdoors.

Invoice orders are only delivered once all the ordered products are in stock. An invoice order cannot be divided into several shipments. If you want to order both in-stock products to ship immediately and special order products to ship later, please create separate invoices for each of these product groups. Please take note of the separate conditions for ordering by invoice.

For orders being shipped to other EU countries, the normal delivery time is 5-14 days after dispatch. Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. 

For orders being delivered outside of the EU, the transit time may vary greatly. The customer is responsible for all customs, import, and other associated fees. For more information, contact your local customs office ahead of time. If the product needs to be processed and cleared by customs, the customer is responsible for each and all cost and understands that customs can cause delays in delivery.

 

If there is a significant delay in delivery, Treeline Outdoors will contact the customer by telephone or email. Treeline Outdoors reserves the right to separately deliver products that have been ordered at the same time.

 

If you have been waiting an unusually long time for your order to arrive and have not been contacted by Treeline Outdoors, please begin by checking the order confirmation and/or order tracking number for the delivery times for each item. Should this not resolve the problem, please contact us directly by telephone or email.

Treeline Outdoors reserves the right to cancel product orders if necessary. In these cases, the payment is refunded within 14 days.

 

DELIVERY METHODS

The order is generally delivered in accordance with the delivery method chosen by the customer at time of check out. We reserve the right to change the delivery method if the situation requires. For example, we may have to change the delivery method due to the size or weight of the product ordered.

Pick-up from Post Office (only available for deliveries in Finland)

Deliveries are made according to the order method chosen by the customer. Orders can either be picked up at the nearest Posti location or, for letter-sized products less than 3cm thick, delivered directly to the address provided by the customer. All packages delivered to Posti locations must be picked up during the week of arrival or the following two full calendar weeks. If the customer does not pick up the shipment within the designated time, the shipment will be returned to Treeline Outdoors. Should the product need to be re-sent to the customer, a standard delivery fee will be charged to the customer for the new shipping.   

Pick-up from SmartPost parcel machines (only available for deliveries in Finland)

Deliveries are made according to the order method chosen by the customer. Orders can either be picked up at an Itella Smartpost parcel machine of the customer’s choosing or, for letter-sized products less than 3cm thick, delivered directly to the address provided by the customer (this excludes any packages which contain lithium batteries, as these always must be sent as a larger package). All orders must be picked up within one week of the package arriving at the parcel machine. If the customer does not pick up the shipment within the designated time, the shipment will be returned to Treeline Outdoors. Should the product need to be re-sent to the customer, a standard delivery fee will be charged to the customer for the new shipping. 

Pick-up from a Matkahuolto service center (only available for deliveries in Finland)

Deliveries are made according to the order method chosen by the customer. Orders can either be picked up at a Matkahuolto service center of the customer’s choosing or, for letter-sized products less than 3cm thick, delivered directly to the address provided by the customer. When ordering, the customer can select their prefered Matkahuolto service center from a list of service centers located near the provided address. The package must be picked up from the pick-up point within the stated pick-up time. Any storage charges are the responsibility of the customer if the shipment is not picked up on time. If the customer does not pick up the shipment within the designated time, the shipment may be returned to Treeline Outdoors. Should the product need to be re-sent to the customer, a standard delivery fee will be charged to the customer for the new shipping.    

Delivery to home address by Posti (Posti Kotipaketti - only available for deliveries in Finland)

Products will be delivered directly to the provided address via Posti . The order will be delivered to the customer on a weekday. In larger cities deliveries are possible until 21:00. In other areas, deliveries are possible until 14:00. The delivery provider will try to contact the customer via phone to arrange a delivery time. For this reason, it is mandatory to provide a telephone number when placing your order. If the customer cannot be reached after two telephone call attempts, a call request card will be left at the delivery location in order to arrange a delivery time. The delivery service includes one delivery. If the shipment cannot be distributed within or at the agreed time, the customer is responsible for any costs associated with a new delivery.

Delivery by Posti Expresspaketti (only available for deliveries in Finland)

Posti Expresspaketti is a delivery service designed primarily for use of packages traveling to business addresses. Generally, Posti Expresspaketti parcels are delivered before 14:00, as to match normal business hours. Of course, this can be used for home delivery as well, but the customer must be there to receive it. The delivery service includes one delivery. If the shipment cannot be distributed within or at the agreed time, the customer is responsible for any costs associated with a new delivery.

Delivery by Matkahuolto Bussipaketti (only available for deliveries in Finland)

Matkahuolto Bussipaketti is an express delivery service available for some areas. Orders can be picked up at a Matkahuolto service center of the customer’s choosing. When ordering, the customer can select their prefered Matkahuolto service center from a list of service centers located near the provided address. The package must be picked up from the pick-up point within the stated pick-up time. Any storage charges are the responsibility of the customer if the shipment is not picked up on time. If the customer does not pick up the shipment within the designated time, the shipment may be returned to Treeline Outdoors. Should the product need to be re-sent to the customer, a standard delivery fee will be charged to the 

Third Party Delivery Services (i.e. - DHL, GLS, etc.)

Products will be delivered directly to the provided address via the delivery service provider selected during the order process. Shipments may be delivered on weekdays and possibly Saturdays, depending on the delivery provider. It is possible that the delivery provider will try to contact the customer via phone to arrange a delivery time. For this reason, it is mandatory to provide a telephone number when placing your order. It is also possible that a contact card is left at the delivery location in order to arrange a delivery time. This card often requires a response from the customer. The delivery service includes one delivery. If the shipment cannot be distributed within or at the agreed time, the customer is responsible for any costs associated with a new delivery.

Pick-up

The customer can pick up the order from our Kangasala store location during opening hours Our store address is: Hanuri-Topin tie 35, 36200 Kangasala, Finland. You can find the opening hours listed in the contact information of our online store. We will notify you by email when the order is ready to be picked up. There are no costs or fees associated with order pick up.

If you choose collection as the delivery method for your order, the payment options are: credit card or bank transfer prepayment via Checkout Finland Oy.

SHIPPING COSTS

We offer fixed delivery costs for orders. The delivery cost varies depending on the delivery service selected during the checkout process. Invoice fees may be added in addition to the fixed delivery fee.

Delivery in Finland

Pickup from Posti: 5.90 euros. Depending on the products, the order will be delivered either by letter directly to the address provided by the customer or as a postal parcel to the nearest post office. Free for orders over 150 euros.

Pick-up from a Smartpost parcel machine: 5.90 euros. Depending on the products, the order is delivered either as a letter directly to the address provided by the customer or as a postal package to the Smartpost parcel machine (Itella Smartpost) chosen by the customer. Free for orders over 150 euros.

Pick-up from a Matkahuolto service center: 5.90 euros. Depending on the products, the order will be delivered either by letter directly to the address provided by the customer or as a package to the Matkahuolto service center chosen by the customer. Free for orders over 150 euros.

Posti Kotipaketti: 5.90 euros. The order will be delivered directly to the address provided by the customer. Free for orders over 150 euros.

Posti Expresspaketti: 9,90 euros. The order will be delivered directly to the address provided by the customer. Primarily for business use.

Matkahuolto Bussipaketti: 9,90 euros.An express delivery service available for some areas. Orders can be picked up at a Matkahuolto service center of the customer’s choosing.

An additional payment charge of EUR 5.00 will be added to invoice orders. This is already pre-calculated into shipping costs on the shopping cart page.

Some large or difficult-to-pack products will incur an additional delivery charge of 5-20 euros, depending on the product. Generally, this is mentioned in the product information. If there is no mention, the delivery surcharge will be displayed in the shopping cart as part of the total delivery costs. For example, crashpads are such products.

Delivery in the E.U.

For all in-stock products, normal delivery time is 5-14 days after dispatch. Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. We recommend the use of GLS due to their more ecologically-minded practices.

Delivery costs for GLS delivery are 5,90€.

Free shipping for orders over 150 € delivered with GLS.

DHL Express delivery to Europe cost 19,90€

Delivery outside of the E.U. (all other countries)

We use DHL for all orders shipping outside of the EU.

Payment Methods


We offer a wide variety of payment options through our payment providers,Stripe, Inc., Klarna, andCheckout Finland. You can make card payments with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Through Checkout Finland we also offer bank transfer payment options for all Finnish banks. Additionally, with Checkout Finland you can also make payments through select mobile payment apps, and certain invoice/installment services. Finally, you can also pay via Paypal.


Please note, refunds via our payment providers can take between 3-7 days to complete based on the transaction times of your bank.


Online Payment Buttons

We provide payment buttons for card payments and all Finnish banks. Card payments involve a direct transaction between the customer and Checkout Finland. On all customer’s account statements, Checkout Finland will show as the stated payee. Checkout Finland will also care for any complaints regarding payments. The role of Treeline Outdoors’s online store is only to market products and/or services, deliver products and/or services, and resolve possible complaints related to the products and/or services .

BANK PAYMENTS

You have payment buttons for all Finnish banks at your disposal. You can pay with the payment buttons of Aktia, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, Oma Säästöpankki, Osuuspankki, POP Bank, Säästöpankki, S-pank and Ålandsbanken. Checkout Finland Oy is shown as the payee on your account statement. They will forward your payment to Treeline Outdoors. From the online store, you will be directed directly to your own bank to make the payment securely.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

You can pay online with Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Debit MasterCard and American Express cards. The online store uses international Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode and American Express SafeKey authentication services. Checkout Finland appears as the payee on the card invoice and forwards the payment made by the customer directly to the merchant. Card payments are made securely using a secure payment form and payment card information is not stored in e-commerce systems.

MOBILE PAYMENT

Mobile payment methods Pivo, MobilePay, Apple Pay and Siirto are application-based services from which you can pay for online purchases by bank transfer from your account, or by card payment from your card, by accepting the payment in the application. Pivo also accepts Siirto payments, allowing the payment to be accepted in any application that supports Siirto. PAYPAL PAYMENTS

PayPal stores and protects your credit card details, so you don’t need to enter the details each time you make a purchase.

You don’t need to have money in your PayPal account to make a purchase, as you can link a payment card to your account.

Payments are made in the same way whether you have linked a card to your PayPal account or transferred money to it.

The user confirms each payment using an email address and password.

Whether you pay by a card linked to your PayPal account or use your PayPal balance, paying by PayPal is free.

When paying with PayPal, your delivery address must be the same as the address you have registered with PayPal.

Card Payment at Time of Collection (for limited liability companies operating in Finland, schools, and government agencies only)

Post-payment of the order via invoice is a payment option only for limited liability companies operating in Finland, as well as for schools and government agencies. An invoice surcharge of EUR 5.00 is added to delivery costs for all invoiced orders. This surcharge is already pre-calculated into the shipping costs on the shopping cart page. We review the credit rating of companies based on official financial statements. If for some reason the financial statements are not found or an acceptable credit rating is not obtained (for example, new companies whose first financial year has not yet ended or the financial statements have not been submitted to the authorities), the order will not be fulfilled.

We mainly use e-invoicing for invoicing. By providing e-invoicing information in connection with the order, the order is invoiced as an e-invoice. The required information is the recipient's e-invoice address (OVT ID), business ID, e-invoice broker operator, and broker ID. If e-invoicing is not possible, the invoice will be delivered as a pdf file to the e-mail address provided in connection with the order. We do not deliver physical invoices by mail.

An individual, company by name only, private trader, public limited company, or limited partnership cannot send an order invoice. If attempted, the order will be automatically canceled. Payment options for these types of customers include online payment via credit card payment or bank transfer.

Payment period 7 days net.

Consumer protection rights do not apply to business sales. We will charge the company any reasonable costs (in accordance with contract law) that we may incur as a result of the cancellation of the transaction or the return of the product. Normally such costs include, but are not limited to, the delivery costs of the order. In the case of a business sale, returns must always be made at the returner's expense.

CANCELLING THE ORDER

 

It is possible to cancel the order if it has not yet been dispatched. The fastest way to cancel your order is to reply to your order confirmation email and notify us of your order cancellation. Be sure to keep the entire email confirmation thread when replying to your order confirmation. If the payment has been made as an online payment via Checkout Finland Oy, or as a direct payment via bank transfer, please also indicate your bank account number in the cancellation message to receive a refund. In a credit card payment, we refund the amount charged to the same payment card on which the original payment was made. You can also cancel an order by phone during our store’s normal opening hours.

If the order has already been shipped, the shipment must be returned in accordance with the customer return instructions.

CUSTOMER RETURNS AND REFUNDS

The customer has a 30-day right-of-return for products ordered from the online store. Returned products must be unused and in their original sales packaging. Some of our products are mailed without specialized sales packaging and therefore, these products do not need to be returned in such packaging. However, the products still must be unused. The product must be returned in the same condition in which the customer received it. The customer has the right to familiarize themselves with the product ordered in the same manner as would normally be possible when purchasing from a store. Under no circumstance can the returned product be used.

As a general rule, customer returns are free of charge. However, when returning discounted or discontinued products, we charge a EUR 10.00 restocking and handling charge. If the customer returns a full-priced item(s) and a discounted/discontinued product(s) in the same shipment, the return costs will be charged in this case as well. This fee will be deducted from the original purchase price at time of refund.  Additionally, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs and/or other third-party fees.

If the original order price entitled the customer to free delivery, but the returned and refunded product(s) puts the price below that limit, the original delivery fee will be added to the order and the cost subtracted from the refunded amount.

If the product returned is deemed unsellable - i.e., it is visibly used, dirty, broken, the packaging is incomplete, or the sealed original sales packaging has been opened, we cannot refund the price of the product in full. In such cases, the amount refunded will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

 

 

Warranty

The manufacturer's warranty does not cover normal normal wear and tear of the product. It also does not cover damage occured by inappropriate/insufficient use or storage. Should you feel you have the right to a warranty claim, please contact us as soon as possible via telephone or email for further instructions on how to get your product replaced/repaired. We handle all warranty cases in concurrence with the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. 

 

Privacy

 

Here at Treeline Outdoors, we respect our customer’s right to data privacy and take our responsibility of storing collected data seriously. We use the highest measures of security on all the data we process. Lastly, we offer all customers the right to access their stored data and to opt out of data collection at any time.

 

All customer information is used and stored by Treeline Outdoors in a system which requires a username and password to access. The only time third-parties have access to your information is when we need to transfer information to them so they can complete a specific task - i.e. for storage, analytics, or marketing. There are strict agreements with all our partners which take into account the requirements of the law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Under no circumstances do our partners have permission to use the information for their own purposes or to share the information.

Treeline Outdoors does reserve the right to share personal and other customer data with the authorities in the event of a violation of law. Treeline also uses personal customer data for its own marketing purposes. In these cases the customer has the right to refuse the marketing whenever they want.

 

Changes to the Terms and Conditions

The world of commerce is rapidly changing and new opportunities and regulations appear quickly. Treeline Outdoors actively follows these changes, and reserves the right to make changes to its online store, its policies, and its Terms and Conditions at any time. If changes occur, only future orders will be affected.

Force Majeure

Treeline Outdoors is not responsible for any damages or delays caused by an event of force majeure. Examples of these events beyond our control include, but are not limited to: natural disasters such as floods, tornadoes, or fires, human-caused events such as wars or riots, or system failures such as labor disputes or electricity-grid failure.

 

Liability

Treeline Outdoors is not responsible for indirect damages unless they are caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

 

Potential Disputes and Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are made with consideration and in regard to the Finnish law.

If disputes between seller and buyer cannot be resolved by negotiations between parties, the dispute will be resolved in local court near the seller.

 

If a dispute cannot be resolved by negotiations between parties, the customer should first contact the Consumer Advisory Service (https://www.kkv.fi/en/consumer-advice/). Following this, the matter can be referred to The Consumer Disputes Board (http://www.kuluttajariita.fi/en/).
