    Petzl Volta® Guide 9 mm - Ultra-lightweight multipurpose 9 mm rope with UIAA Guide Dry treatment for ultimate climbing and mountaineering performance

    The VOLTA GUIDE 9 mm rope offers the extremely low weight and bulk needed for ultimate rock climbing performance, as well as the flexibility and complete water repellent treatment for mountaineering. The UIAA Guide Dry treatment gives it excellent water resistance and makes it well-suited to everyday use in extreme conditions. Its grip and handling make for easier manipulation. It is available in several lengths, depending on user needs, from 30 meters for classic mountaineering to 100 meters for longer routes and rock climbing.

    Detailed description

    • Compact and ultra-lightweight for ultimate climbing performance:
      - ultra-lightweight; only 54 g/m
      - compact, thanks to its thin 9 mm diameter
      - ClimbReady Coil: special coil makes the rope ready to use. It helps the user avoid initial uncoiling mistakes, and increases longevity
    • Perfect for technical mountaineering and ice climbing, thanks to its excellent water resistance:
      - UIAA Guide Dry treatment: water repellent treatment allows users to keep their rope dry, day after day, no matter what the conditions. It meets the requirements of the UIAA standard water repellent test: water absorption of less than 2 %
      - UIAA Guide Dry treatment extends the life of the rope
      - UltraSonic Finish: the core and sheath are bonded together at the rope ends by an ultrasonic process. It provides greater durability and prevents frayed ends
    • Comfort:
      - flexible rope makes it easier to uncoil, handle loops and give slack with belay devices
      - 40-carrier grip for better control
      - EverFlex treatment: specific thermal treatment stabilizes core strands and improves consistency Provides excellent grip and handling over time
